Only few people from Poland associate the biggest river in Poland, the Vistula River with windsurfing. However there are several places which seem to be perfect for the passion.

One of them is Deblin. This spot offers excellent conditions for intermediate and advanced sailors and is located about 62miles/100km from Warsaw , the capitol of Poland.

Please contact us, if you would like to provide further details for this site.

Wind

West and Northwest. There is a possibility of taking advantage of SW winds but only in early spring and late autumn when trees shed their leaves.
These directions offer perfect flat water conditions, even in stronger winds over 15 knots. (5 bft.)

Water

If you are looking for big ramps, you have missed, this site has nothing to offer you, unless the wind blows from NW and the force is over 30knots (>6 bft.), in conditions like these you can find moderate ramps.
Although big ramps aren't distinguishing mark of the spot, you can have plenty of fun playing on flat water which is especially useful if you are going to learn new flat water freestyle tricks.
Another benefit of the place is shallow water, usually shallow enough to find ground under feet. It will appreciate all sailors who often finish their jibes and tricks in water.

Rig & Launch

Rig on the grass at the local car park, which is huge enough for rigging 3-4 sails simultaneously. Rigging area and car park are surrounded by a fence, so you don't have to bother about your car.

Warnings

You have to be aware of obstacles which are in neighborhood of a bridge (about 30m/100feet on both sides of the bridge).
Don't sail downriver further than 800m/2500feet due to dying wind in this part of the river.
