Diamond Head @ River Rhône

A session review  by team LA BAR.

What a radical change compared to Oahu, from 30°C air temperature down to 10°C, from 26°C water temperature down to only 6°C, from palm trees to a nuclear power plant, from 1.50m waves to flatwater. BUT out of his view, it's so good to be back home and do some freestyle with his crew, the team la BAR! He still kept a little something from Oahu to feel like he's still on Hawaii: the road sign of the most famous windsurfing spot on Oahu: "Diamond Head".

After 6 month of riding this spot everyday either for surfing or windsurfing, it was nice to include the road sign in the pictures, to wink at his Hawaiian friends, and to show that we also have some great windsurfing spots on the other side of the globe, even on a cold river in the middle of winter and surrounded by a nuclear power plant! 

In the end, it was a great session, 30 knots, flatwater with some chop. The spot of Montélimar is just amazing: as soon as you have 10 knots forecasted on Windguru, you can be sure  you'll have at least 20 knots and sometimes even more!"
